December’s Scottish Gin Club discovery gin is produced by the Isle of Skye Distillers. Independently owned, and founded in 2016, Isle of Skye Distillers was the first distillery on the island of Skye to produce both gin and vodka.

The Gin 

The award-winning Misty Isle Gin is produced with locally foraged botanicals and water from Storr Lochs. With a strong focus on sustainability, Isle of Skye Distillers are seeking to contribute to a healthy and balanced island ecosystem with every bottle of Misty Isle Gin produced. With a solar powered distillery and a local supply chain, they’re well on their way!

The spirit is inspired by Skye’s dramatic landscapes, with a juniper-forward palate filled with notes of citrus and spice. Produced through a careful distillation process, the full range of botanicals includes juniper, coriander, angelica, grains of paradise and lemon.

In a final unmissable nod to its island home, Misty Isle is served in a unique bottle that echoes the infamous Cuillin Mountains. The elegant twist of the neck leaves each bottle different to one another and ensures this small-batch gin well and truly captures the spirit of Skye.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, Misty Isle is juniper-led. To taste, it’s smooth and earthy. To finish, expect a gentle and warming spice.
