Discover King’s Hill Gin
King’s Hill Gin is expertly distilled in a traditional copper alembic still, lovingly named ‘Marion.’ The lush landscape of the Pentland Hills serves as the inspiration and source of its unique botanicals. The gin features hand-foraged ingredients like Gorse Flower, Heather, Wild Rosehip, and Elderflower, all dried and vapor-infused in copper baskets during distillation. The result? A gin that beautifully captures the wild essence of the Pentlands — bold, captivating, and utterly remarkable.
Tasting Notes:

Finish: Crisp and exceptionally smooth.
Perfect Serve: Enjoy King’s Hill Gin long, with plenty of ice, a hearty slice of grapefruit, and a splash of premium Mediterranean tonic.
The Legend Behind King’s Hill
King’s Hill Gin draws its name and inspiration from a legendary tale set deep in the Pentland Hills. The story goes that King Robert the Bruce and Sir William ‘The Crusader’ Sinclair engaged in a spirited wager while tracking a rare white stag. The King bet his Pentland estate against Sir William, promising it to the first man who could capture the elusive creature. With the help of his loyal hounds, Help and Hold, Sir William succeeded. In honor of this victory, he named the hill where the King stood “King’s Hill.”
Established in 2017, King’s Hill Gin is the inaugural creation from The Pentland Still. It is a gin that embodies the daring spirit and rich heritage of the Pentland Hills, making it a fitting addition to our Scottish Gin Club selection.
We hope you enjoy this unique and bold gin as much as we do. Don’t forget to share your perfect serve and unboxing moments with us on social media — we love to see our community enjoying these carefully curated selections.
Cheers to a wonderful October with Craft56° and King’s Hill Gin! 🍸
