July’s Scottish Gin Club discovery gin is the third produced exclusively as part of our Editions Series. Created in collaboration with The Biggar Gin Co., Summer Gin is a refreshing and well balanced gin produced with botanicals grown in Lanark.

The Gin 

Packed with botanicals including juniper, coriander, lemon peel, pink peppercorn, cassia bark, orris root, fresh lime peel and Corsican mint, Editions Series Summer Gin is the product of a rigorous selection process based on our initial brief to The Biggar Gin Co. for a light and fresh summer gin.

The signature botanicals of Corsican mint and fresh lime peel offer sharp and refreshing notes which are offset nicely against Biggar’s core selection of botanicals – a dynamic which is helped by the fact that the production team specifically adjusted the balance in favour of these signature botanicals in order to meet our brief.

We’re thrilled with the final product, and while selecting from the five gins presented to the tasting panel, this ultimately successful blend is more than we could have hoped for and our thanks go out to Stuart and the team at The Biggar Gin Co. for all their work on this.

The Perfect Serve

Serve over ice, with a premium tonic, a slice of fresh or dried lime and a sprig of fresh mint to garnish.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, Editions Series Summer Gin is a sharp and fresh gin. To taste, expect an earthy citrus palate and to finish, a gentle bitter kick.
