This month’s Scottish Gin Club showcases a stunning gin from The Highland Liquor Company. Each box will include four Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonics, a tasting notes flyer, and branded pencils from The Highland Liquor Company.
Based in their adopted home of Ullapool in the north west Highlands, the Highland Liquor Co. is the brainchild of Helen Chalmers and Robert Hicks. The Highland Liquor Co. is the first legal distillery in this remote corner of Scotland where they create exceptional, handmade spirits.
The Highland Liquor Co. initially launched the Experimental Series and used the results of the tasting of these gins to craft the final flavour profile of Seven Crofts gin.
Seven Crofts is made of seven key botanicals including pink peppercorns, cardamon and fresh lemon peel.
Tasing Notes
Nose: Rich, round aromatic notes of juniper, pepper with a noticeable hint of ripe plum. Palate: Opulent notes of perfumed forest fruit and a suggestion of woodland. The juniper is
assertive with spicy hints of coriander and pink pepper and a long, warm finish.
Finish: Balanced and elegant yet distinctive flavours of juniper, pepper, orchard fruit and a poised, spicy finish.
Perfect serve: Serve in a straight glass with lots of ice, a good quality tonic (1 part gin to 2 parts tonic) and garnished with a slice or twist orange.
