Scottish Gin Club - Inshriach Original Speyside Gin - January 2020

We are delighted to introduce Inshriach Original Speyside Gin - the first featured gin of the new decade in our Scottish Gin Club! Find out more about the gin and the amazing story behind it below.

Inshriach Distillery

Led by Master Distiller Walter Micklethwait, Inshriach Distillery is situated in the picturesque Inshriach Estate in the Highlands of Scotland. The 200 acre estate is bordered by the River Spey to the north and the foothills of the Cairngorms to the south.

The estate is made up of natural woodland and pasture, Inshriach House (an Edwardian country house), many unique places to stay including bothies and huts as well as the shed which houses the distillery.

However, the shed is not what you’d think of when you picture a typical garden shed. It was actually crowned Shed of the Year by Channel 4 in 2015!

Walter has created a truly unique place to visit with an eclectic mix of vintage Americana meets traditional Scottish meets pop art.

Inshriach Original Speyside Dry Gin

The Original 43% is the signature gin and is made with locally foraged Scottish juniper berries, juniper shoots and rosehip along with a number of other botanicals for a sweet, floral, piney flavour.

Batches consist of 500 bottles with both the batch and bottle number as well as the date displayed on each bottle.

Recommended Serves

Perfect as a sipping gin, Inshriach Original 43% also works well in a classic G&T over ice with a premium tonic, and a wedge of lime. To enhance the flavours further, add a sprig of mint too.
