Lost Loch Spirits - Murmichan Scottish Absinthe is the first Scottish absinthe which is produced in a traditional manner using only natural botanicals.

Botanicals: grande wormwood, roman wormwood, green aniseed, fennel seed, hyssop, star anise, lemon balm, mint leaves, bramble leaves, lemon thyme and heather flower. Royal Deeside heather, clover and willow herb honey. 

Tasting Notes

On initial nosing there is a waft of aniseed which is followed by sweet notes and mint and honey. To taste, it is mild compared to some absinthes with the honey complementing the wormwoods's dry, crisp flavour. Each sip will reveal something different.

The perfect serve

Similar to many whiskies, it only takes a small amount of water for the flavours to be revealed. Therefore, we recommend serving with a few drops of cold water dripped through sugar.

Meet the maker

Lost Loch Spirits was founded in 2017 by Peter Dignan and Richard Pierce. The distillery is nestled in between forest and farmland on the edge of Cairngorm National Park on what would have been the eastern shore of Loch Ardlossan. Peter and Richard have an ethos to be inventive in their thinking, to look at history for inspiration and to produce a range of award winning spirits that have local provenance. They are proud to be part of a resurgance of craft distilling on Royal Deeside.

Delivery Service

We use a combination of delivery services and the provider and service used will depend on your location, the size and weight of the products ordered, the value of the goods and the delivery service you select at checkout.

All deliveries in the UK will be dispatched using either Royal Mail or by a courier. Deliveries out with the UK will always be delivered using a courier.

We always recommend that you provide us with a delivery address where it is likely that someone will be available to receive and sign for the parcel. Where applicable, you will receive communication with a tracking number for your parcel

Delivery Times

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and all orders received before 1pm are dispatched the same day. Order received after 1pm are dispatched the next working day.

The delivery time depends on your location and the delivery service selected at checkout. However, all deliveries in the UK will generally be made within 3 days of dispatch. Deliveries to European countries will be made within 5-7 working days of dispatch.
