Achroous is the flagship product from Electric Spirit Co. and is an intense and spicy Scottish gin made with a combination of classic and non-traditional botanicals.

Classics including juniper, coriander, angelica, liquorice and orris are cleverly combined with sichuan pepper and fennel for a faint, herbal aniseed kick.

The name Achroous comes from the Ancient Greek for 'colourless' and while the spirit may be colourless, the bottle certainly is not. Achroous is presented in a stunning orange-red bottle.

Tasting Notes

Achroous Gin is herbal and earthy with apparent citrus and spice notes but its the complex earthiness that really shines through.

The perfect serve

Perfect as a straight-up G&T served over ice. If you'd like to add a garnish then we'd recommend some star anise.

Meet the maker

Launched in 2015 by James Porteous, Electric Spirit Co. is based in the Tower Street Stillhouse and sits just a few yards away from the Port of Leith basin. In addition to their flagship gin; Achroous, James has worked with a number of bar & restaurant owners and event planners to create bespoke, limited edition products that combine both craft and flavour.

Delivery Service

We use a combination of delivery services and the provider and service used will depend on your location, the size and weight of the products ordered, the value of the goods and the delivery service you select at checkout.

All deliveries in the UK will be dispatched using either Royal Mail or by a courier. Deliveries out with the UK will always be delivered using a courier.

We always recommend that you provide us with a delivery address where it is likely that someone will be available to receive and sign for the parcel. Where applicable, you will receive communication with a tracking number for your parcel

Delivery Times

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and all orders received before 1pm are dispatched the same day. Order received after 1pm are dispatched the next working day.

The delivery time depends on your location and the delivery service selected at checkout. However, all deliveries in the UK will generally be made within 3 days of dispatch. Deliveries to European countries will be made within 5-7 working days of dispatch.
