Its flavor profile reveals notes of oaky vanilla and butterscotch, complemented by subtle hints of plum jam, cinnamon, and ginger, with layers of roasted chestnuts. This whisky is a fine balance of complexity, boasting a smooth and silky texture that reflects the character of Lindores spirit, leading to a delightful finish.

History: In 1191, Tironensian monks from the French Order of Tiron arrived at Lindores to establish a monastery. These monks, known for their practical and industrious lifestyle, excelled in various trades, including masonry, distilling, brewing, carpentry, blacksmithing, sculpture, painting, gardening, beekeeping, farming, and animal husbandry. Upon their arrival, they worked to tame the land surrounding the Abbey, cultivating vast orchards that displayed their remarkable skills.

Each sip of this Lowland Scotch Whisky is a step back in time, maturing in virgin oak casks sourced from the very lands that bridge Thiron Abbey and Lindores Abbey across the centuries. In a commitment to sustainability and appreciation, the wood used has been replaced by new oak trees, thoughtfully planted by the founders, Drew and Helen McKenzie Smith, in the Abbey gardens of Thiron Gardais.
