Mapmakers Rum - Coastal Spiced Rum is Dunnet Bay Distillers signature rum. Created by their distiller, Kevin, the rum is twice distilled using copper pot stills. 

The rum is collected from the middle cut of the second distillation and blended with Caribbean rum and water from Loch Calder.

Tasting Notes

On the nose subtle hints of banana and vanilla, which is followed by toffee and light citrus. To taste you'll get a light peppered spice, with a burst of citrus. Salted caramel comes in on the finish to provide a long lasting, well rounded spiced taste.

Enjoy neat over ice to enhance the flavour profile, or if you prefer a longer drink - add cola and a lemon peel

Meet the maker

Dunnet Bay Distillers was launched by husband and wife team Martin and Claire Murray and is the most northerly distillery on the UK mainland. The couple had a dream to return to Caithness to start their own business together which can be traced back to their university days. They moved home from France, built their own house and distillery which opened in 2014. The first copper pot still, Elizabeth, was installed and the recipe for their first release - Rock Rose Gin - was perfected and released in August 2014. Dunnet Bay Distillers won the Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year at the Scottish Gin Awards in 2019 and has picked up multiple awards for their gins and vodkas.

Delivery Service

We use a combination of delivery services and the provider and service used will depend on your location, the size and weight of the products ordered, the value of the goods and the delivery service you select at checkout.

All deliveries in the UK will be dispatched using either Royal Mail or by a courier. Deliveries out with the UK will always be delivered using a courier.

We always recommend that you provide us with a delivery address where it is likely that someone will be available to receive and sign for the parcel. Where applicable, you will receive communication with a tracking number for your parcel

Delivery Times

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and all orders received before 1pm are dispatched the same day. Order received after 1pm are dispatched the next working day.

The delivery time depends on your location and the delivery service selected at checkout. However, all deliveries in the UK will generally be made within 3 days of dispatch. Deliveries to European countries will be made within 5-7 working days of dispatch.
