Caorunn Scottish Raspberry Gin is a delicate flavoured gin which is produced using a selection of locally grown and traditional botanicals as well as Perthshire raspberries.

The 5 locally foraged botanicals are combined with a blend of 6 other traditional botanicals, the raspberries and the purest Scottish water.

Caorunn is made in the world’s only working Copper Berry Chamber to extract maximum flavour from the botanicals. The Raspberry Gin showcases perfectly the work of the berry chamber.

Botanicals: juniper, rowan berries, coul blush apple, heather, dandelion and bog myrtle.

Tasting Notes

On the nose there is a blast of raspberry fruitiness with lingering vanilla softness. The flavour is distinctively fruity, raspberry and the tartness of rowan come to the fore before a bright, clean, fresh lingering finish.

The perfect serve

We highly recommend serving the raspberry gin over plenty of ice with a classic tonic, a slice of pink lady apple and some fresh raspberries. A 1:2 gin to tonic ratio works perfectly.

Meet the maker

Launched in 2009, Caorunn Gin has been handcrafted in small batches at Balmenach Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. The gins are distilled in the world's only copper berry chamber to extract maximum flavour. The name Caorunn (pronounced ka-roon) is from the Gaelic word for rowan berry. The rowan berry is one of the five unique Celtic botanicals used in the making the Caorunn range. All the celtic botanicals can be foraged within a 10 minute walk of the distillery. In addition to the classic Caorunn Gin, the range now also include a high strength version as well as a Raspberry Gin.
