Pintail Glen Elgin 14YO Floc de Gascogne Finish Single Malt Whisky - A Glen Elgin 2008 whisky finished in a Floc de Gascogne Wine Cask. The first of a new range of unique and rare wine cask finishes from Pintail.

With a high ABV of 54.1% and a finish of sweet fruits, toffee and plums.

Tasting Notes

The aroma has toasted almonds, red berries and hints of pepper. The palate has a balance of salty and nutty aromas with a hint of cherries and spice. Followed by a sweet finish of red berries, toffee with a hint of smokiness to the finish.

Meet the maker

Pintail's first bottle dates back to 1931 with a renound award winning Dry Sherry. The Pintail brand eventually stopped production in the late 1900's due to the drop in sherry comsumption....Until in 2021, The brand was bought over by The Whisky Celler and the production started up again this time creating scotch whiskies that are finished in rare wine caskes from all over Europe.

All deliveries in the UK will be dispatched using either Royal Mail or by a courier. Deliveries out with the UK will always be delivered using a courier.

Delivery Times

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and all orders received before 1pm are dispatched the same day. Order received after 1pm are dispatched the next working day.

The delivery time depends on your location and the delivery service selected at checkout. However, all deliveries in the UK will generally be made within 3 days of dispatch. Deliveries to European countries will be made within 5-7 working days of dispatch.
