Based in Port in Menteith in Central Scotland, Modern Stone Age is the brainchild of Keith Burnett. Keith was originally a builder to trade and has carved stone many times over the years. With the trend of using specialist stones to chill drinks instead of ice, Keith realised that some of the Scottish stone he worked with would be perfect for this and there was no drink stones currently produced in Scotland. Determined to put this right, he set about exploring the geology and rock formations of Scotland to find the perfect stones to use to cool the world's finest drinks. Today, Keith hand-carves drinking stones from Scottish whin and Scottish green schist.
