The first batch of Callander Gin, crafted with distinctive Scottish botanicals, is a premium small-batch gin that celebrates the natural beauty and flavors of Scotland. Produced in Scotland, this gin is a true reflection of its origins, combining traditional distilling techniques with a carefully selected range of botanicals native to Scotland.

Tasting Notes and Botanicals:

The gin features a unique blend of Scottish botanicals, including:

  • Juniper berries, the foundation of any gin, provide a classic, piney, and slightly spicy base.
  • Heather, a quintessential Scottish plant, imparts a subtle floral note that adds depth and a gentle sweetness.
  • Citrus peels, typically from Scottish-grown oranges or lemons, enhance the gin’s brightness, balancing the earthy and floral elements with a refreshing zest.
  • Peppery angelica root and orris root bring an elegant, aromatic backbone that helps to round out the flavor profile.

The botanicals are handpicked from various parts of Scotland, ensuring that each batch captures the essence of the country’s rich and diverse flora. The result is a well-balanced, full-bodied gin with a fragrant, slightly floral nose, and a smooth yet bold taste.

Appearance:

The gin has a crystal-clear, pristine appearance, with a slight shimmer from the distillation process.

Taste Profile:

On the palate, Callander Gin reveals a harmonious blend of herbaceous, floral, and citrus notes. The juniper is prominent but not overpowering, offering a fresh, clean start. The heather and elderflower add an aromatic complexity, creating a layered experience. There is a touch of spice from the angelica root and a refreshing citrus finish that lingers gently, leaving a crisp aftertaste.

Best Served:

Callander Gin is versatile, and can be enjoyed neat, with a splash of tonic, or in classic gin cocktails like a Gin & Tonic, Negroni, or Martini. It pairs beautifully with a premium tonic water, garnished with a twist of lemon or a sprig of rosemary to highlight the Scottish botanicals.

Craftsmanship:

Distilled in small batches, each bottle of Callander Gin is produced with a focus on quality and attention to detail. The distillers use traditional methods combined with modern techniques, ensuring a smooth and refined spirit that captures the essence of Scotland in every drop.

This gin is a perfect tribute to Scotland's natural heritage, offering a distinctly local twist on the classic gin profile.
