Based on Lamb Holm, a tiny island that is connected to mainland Orkney by the Churchill Barriers. At just 0.15 square miles, it may well be the smallest rum producing island in the world. The distillery sits metres away from the sea and the rums produced are inspired by pirates. The J. Gow name comes from the infamous Orkney pirate; John Gow. His short but violent career began in Amsterdam and ended in Orkney. He was imprisoned, tried and hung in London in June 1725. The range includes a spiced rum and a chestnut cask aged rum.
