Tasting Notes

On the nose, notes of fresh juniper are balanced with citrus, coriander and a touch of maltiness. To taste, it's luxurious creamy and balances piney juniper, sweet citrus and gentle spices before a long, fresh and lingering finish.

The perfect serve

Great in a classic G&T, we recommend serving over plenty of ice with a quality tonic water and a slice of blood orange. For a more herbaceous gin then add a sprig of thyme.

Meet the maker

Tobermory is the largest town on the Isle of Mull and is famous for its colourful seafront. The Tobermory Distillery story is as colourful as the town! The plan for the distillery was originally rejected but persistence paid off and John Sinclair, a local kelp merchant, was able to launch Ledaig Distillery in 1798. After over 100 years of production, the Great Despression and Prohibition in the USA saw demand for whisky plummet and the distillery stopped operating for over 40 years. The distillery changed hands a couple of times and was purchased by Distell in 2013. Following a period of renovation, the stills at Tobermory Distillery were fired back up again in 2019. The distillery nows produces Tobermory and Ledaig Single Malt Whiskies as well as Tobermory Gin.
