Established by friends Emma and Jo, Fidra Gin was inspired by Jo's husband Andy returning from a visit to the Isle of Jura and sharing the story of Lussa Gin. This led Emma and Jo to explore producing a gin using the abundance of botanicals available along the coastline of East Lothian. Emma and Jo purchased a 5 litre still to start trying out some recipes. A couple of years and a lot of experimentation later, Fidra Gin was officially launched in September 2018. Fidra is currently contract distilled at Inshriach Distillery in Aviemore using a variety of botanicals foraged from East Lothian.
