Askival Rum was born when 3 friends took part in the West Highland Yachting Week in 2019 and stumbled across the Isle of Rum, inspiring them to create a rum from Rum. The friends joined forces with leading Scottish chef Craig Grozier to bring the island's first drink product to the market in late 2020. The team are currently importing 5 year old rum from the Caribbean and infusing botanicals that are handpicked and inspired by the island. This is very much just the first stage in their journey and they have a goal to create full-time employment on the island as well as producing a pure Scottish rum on the Isle of Rùm that is fermented, distilled and bottled on the island to which it bears its name.
