Aelder - Elderberry Elixir Liqueur is a Scottish whisky-based liqueur, made with a burning passion for Scotland's wild larder and handcrafted in small batches from hedgerow to elixir.

Scotch whisky is combined wild elderberries, spices and other locally foraged Scottish botanicals for a rich, smooth liqueur with a beautifully warming finish. 

Perfect for lovers of port, sherry and whisky liqueurs, Aelder is a great accompaniment to a cheese board or a dark chocolate dessert. .

The perfect serve

Extremely versatile, the elderberry elixir is great as an alternative to port, served in prosecco or blended in cocktails. For a long drink we'd recommend serving over ice with ginger ale and finished with a wedge of lime.

Meet the maker

Created by Rupert Waites, head chef and chief forager at the Buck and Birch, Aelder was one of numerous wild flavour experiments developed in “The Shed”. Aelder made its debut in 2012 at one of Rupert's famous supper clubs in Edinburgh and pretty soon guests were requesting bottles to take home.

Delivery Service

We use a combination of delivery services and the provider and service used will depend on your location, the size and weight of the products ordered, the value of the goods and the delivery service you select at checkout.

All deliveries in the UK will be dispatched using either Royal Mail or by a courier. Deliveries out with the UK will always be delivered using a courier.

We always recommend that you provide us with a delivery address where it is likely that someone will be available to receive and sign for the parcel. Where applicable, you will receive communication with a tracking number for your parcel

Delivery Times

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and all orders received before 1pm are dispatched the same day. Order received after 1pm are dispatched the next working day.

The delivery time depends on your location and the delivery service selected at checkout. However, all deliveries in the UK will generally be made within 3 days of dispatch. Deliveries to European countries will be made within 5-7 working days of dispatch.
