Winner of the High Strength Gin of the Year at the Scottish Gin Awards 2020!

Based in the Scottish west coast, Tarbert Lebiter Navy Strength Gin is made in the grounds of the Torrisdale Castle Estate by the environmentally responsible Beinn An Tuirc distillery.

Bottled at 57% ABV, Tarbert Legbiter packs a punch but this aromatic spirit is wonderfully smooth and flavoursome. It's smoothness belies the high strength.

The gin is named after the sword of a Kintyre legend - Magnus Barelegs, King of Norway in 1093, who claimed Kintyre as his own by circumnavigating the peninsula. He refused to let the isthmus at Tarbert ruin his plan – he simply had his boat dragged accross and declared Kintyre an island.

Tasting Notes

The nose is light with delicate floral notes warming to a gentle spice and pine aromas. On the palate it's sweet and light with a dry lingering spice from pink peppercorns.

The perfect serve

Delicious when served over ice with a quality light tonic and garnished with pink peppercorns.

Not only do they use sustainable botanicals but their copper still is powered by their own on-site hydro-electric scheme, they plant a tree for every case sold AND they use a portion of their profits to help local community projects!
