Tamdhu Quercas Alba Distinction celebrates the unmistakable characteristics of first-fill American oak maturation, combined with the influence of hand-selected refill casks.

These casks take 6 years to make, with the oak being shipped from the USA to Spain, where the oak is air dried, coopered, and then seasoned with Oloroso sherry.

Non chill filtered and naturally coloured with the amber colour coming from the sherry oak. Delivered within a Tamdhu Distillery luxury presentation box.  

Tasting Notes

On the nose it's malty and creamy with vanilla, cinnamon, honey, apple, cherries, citrus and delicate mint. To taste, it is fruity with soft oak, plum, gooseberry and chocolate limes before a long finish with lingering sherry, dates and syrup sponge.

Meet the maker

Tamdhu Distillery brings together Spain and Speyside. In 1898, the founders of Tamdhu secured their first precious shipment of sherry casks from the finest bodegas in Spain. The distillery operated until 2010 when it was forced to close due to outside pressures. However, in 2012 Ian Macleod Distillers reopened the distillery and returned it to its former glory. Today, well over 100 years since the distillery first opened, Tamdhu mature their whisky exclusively in the finest Oloroso sherry casks.

Delivery Service

We use a combination of delivery services and the provider and service used will depend on your location, the size and weight of the products ordered, the value of the goods and the delivery service you select at checkout.

All deliveries in the UK will be dispatched using either Royal Mail or by a courier. Deliveries out with the UK will always be delivered using a courier.

We always recommend that you provide us with a delivery address where it is likely that someone will be available to receive and sign for the parcel. Where applicable, you will receive communication with a tracking number for your parcel

Delivery Times

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and all orders received before 1pm are dispatched the same day. Order received after 1pm are dispatched the next working day.

The delivery time depends on your location and the delivery service selected at checkout. However, all deliveries in the UK will generally be made within 3 days of dispatch. Deliveries to European countries will be made within 5-7 working days of dispatch.
