The Sons of Scotland Collection is a series of single cask release whiskies from Stirling Distillery which celebrate Stirlingshire's rich whisky making heritage. Each release will be named after a historical distillery.

Cashly Distillery was found in 1825 by George Drew and stood just half a mile southwest of the village of Buchlyvie.

This Highland Single Malt whisky was distilled in 2012 and has spent 8 years ageing in a hogshead cask before being bottled in 2020.

Only 400 bottles released and each bottle is numbered.

Tasting Notes

On the nose there are hints of eucalyptus and green apples with a sharpness of gooseberry. The palate has notes of buttered toast, stewed apple and a gentle spince from white pepper and a short, sweet sherbet finish.

Meet the maker

Stirling Distillery was launched by husband and wife Cameron and June McCann. Their journey began when they ran the ran the highly regarded Stirling Gin Festival in 2014. However, there was one thing missing - a gin from Stirling using local botanicals. In October 2015 they distilled their first bottle of Stirling Gin. Production quickly increased and 4 years later the couple opened the city's first legal distillery in The Old Smiddy - a historic building in the shadow of Stirling Castle.
