Tasting Notes

There is a rich sweetness on the nose with fruit pudding, stewed red berries and a very subtle creamy sweetness. On the palate, a rush of milk chocolate brazil nuts is followed by a very subtle hint of peat fire smoke in the middle that doesn’t hang around. Oily honey sweetness. The finish is long in length. Woody, varnished oak and pepper-like finish.

The perfect serve

Enjoy how you prefer a good quality dram. Sipped, on the rocks or with a dash of water.

Meet the maker

Na Braithrean [na brah-rin], independent bottlers of the finest Single Malt Scotch Whisky, is the brainchild of brothers Andy and Brendan Clark. The name translates as 'the brothers' in Scottish Gaelic. They create 'brothers' by taking a single cask and splitting the liquid inside in half and finishing them separately in different casks for different lengths of time. The half bottled first becomes the Wee Brother and the second half that is aged slightly longer is bottled as the Big Brother. This gives the brothers different characteristics despite being distilled on the same day and spending most their lives in the same cask.
