Edinburgh Gin's 1670 Gin is a special edition gin that was made in partnership with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE), bringing together the natural connection between botany and gin distilling.

Head Distiller David Wilkinson worked closely with Botanist Dr Greg Kenicer for over 12 months to create a unique gin using uses a variety of rare and exotic botanicals grown in the RBGE. These include fennel, sweet cicely, the exotic Piper Leaf and Tasmanian Mountain Pepper.

The special gin takes its name from the year the RBGE was founded.

Tasting Notes

Aromatic and herbaceous, it's smooth with hints of peppery spice and piney, resinous juniper before a soft sweetness on the finish.

Enjoy as a classic G&T with lots of ice, a quality tonic and a fresh basil leaf to bring out the herbaceous notes. The flavour of the gin also lends itself to a great Martini.

The Edinburgh Gin story began in 2010 with the launch of their Classic London Dry Gin. The inspiration behind the brand comes from Scotland's capital city, a city of contrasts that blends historic tradition with contemporary creativity. The team at Edinburgh Gin is dedicated to the art and science of distilling while creating a range of gins that intrigue, excite and captivate. Taking the Classic Gin as a foundation, Edinburgh Gin now has a series of expressions that push boundaries, encouraging drinkers to explore new flavours combinations. All the gins and liqueurs contain only 100% natural flavours.

Delivery Service

We use a combination of delivery services and the provider and service used will depend on your location, the size and weight of the products ordered, the value of the goods and the delivery service you select at checkout.

All deliveries in the UK will be dispatched using either Royal Mail or by a courier. Deliveries out with the UK will always be delivered using a courier.

We always recommend that you provide us with a delivery address where it is likely that someone will be available to receive and sign for the parcel. Where applicable, you will receive communication with a tracking number for your parcel

Delivery Times

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and all orders received before 1pm are dispatched the same day. Order received after 1pm are dispatched the next working day.

The delivery time depends on your location and the delivery service selected at checkout. However, all deliveries in the UK will generally be made within 3 days of dispatch. Deliveries to European countries will be made within 5-7 working days of dispatch.
