Darnley’s Original Gin is a crisp and flavoursome London Dry style gin which makes for a refreshing gin and tonic.

It has been 4 times distilled with botanicals including juniper, elderflower, lemon peel, angelica root, coriander seed and orris root.

The Darnley’s name comes from the moment in 1565 that Mary Queen of Scots first spies her future husband, Lord Darnley, through the courtyard window of Weymss Castle.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, there are hits of piney juniper with floral notes of elderflower. To taste, grapefruit and juniper are prominent initially before a mellow spice and a long, dry finish

The perfect serve

Best enjoyed over ice with a quality tonic water and a slice of lemon. Also perfect for fruit-based cocktails such as a Grapefruit Sparkler.
