No. 1513 is the first rum released by Cabal Rum and is comprised of aged rums from distilleries in Guatemala, Guyana, Trinidad, Panama and the Caribbean.

The rums are then blended and finished in Speyside in Pedro Ximénez casks creating a distinctive, complex, yet smooth taste profile.

Non chill-filtered and with no added colour for a high quality rum for you to enjoy and share.

Tasting Notes

On the nose there are sweet, fruity notes of caramel, dark chocolate, toffee, orange peel and stone fruits. The palate is an intriguing combination of barbecued pineapple, caramelised apple, fruit cake, sweet figs and sweet sherry.

The perfect serve

Perfect for sipping over ice, enjoyed with your favourite mixer or in the base of a rum cocktail. If serving with a mixer, our favourite is sparkling apple juice and a wedge of lime.

Meet the maker

Launching in the summer of 2020, Ron Cabezon is the brainchild of its creator, David Alexander Smith. Having been a well-travelled Rum enthusiast for many years, David had a strong ambition and desire to produce a rum of his own design, using 100% natural botanical ingredients. The name Cabezon is Spanish for ‘Pig headed/Big headed’ and was a nickname that David picked up while living and working in Barcelona. It seemed fitting to name the company after its creator's single minded attitude and determination to go to the ends of the earth create a flavour like no other.
