The 45 is a golden, spiced rum with a bold and robust flavour profile produced using sustainably sourced botanicals and bourbon casks to age.

Bottled at 45% ABV, The 45 is over-proofed which gives it a bold finish without overpowering the palate.

Botanicals: smoked seaweed, liquorice, ginger, vanilla, orange peel and caramel.

Tasting Notes

The mix of vanilla, ginger and orange peel combined with smoked Scottish seaweed give The 45 a classic sweet & salty taste similar to salted caramel. It is then aged in a bourbon/whisky cask to bring together the flavours of Scotland and the USA.

The perfect serve

Perfect when sipped over ice. Alternatively, top up with your favourite mixer. We recommend cola, ginger beer or ginger ale.

Meet the maker

The Jacobite Spirits Co was launched in 2019 by a group of friends united by the Spirit of Rebellion. Their goal was to make the best Scottish spiced rum they could imagine and they have learned everything about the craft of distilling in order to bottle the 45. The unique flavour profile comes from their determination to source the best botanicals from Scotland and around the world, with everything being sustainably sourced.

Delivery Service

We use a combination of delivery services and the provider and service used will depend on your location, the size and weight of the products ordered, the value of the goods and the delivery service you select at checkout.

All deliveries in the UK will be dispatched using either Royal Mail or by a courier. Deliveries out with the UK will always be delivered using a courier.

We always recommend that you provide us with a delivery address where it is likely that someone will be available to receive and sign for the parcel. Where applicable, you will receive communication with a tracking number for your parcel

Delivery Times

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and all orders received before 1pm are dispatched the same day. Order received after 1pm are dispatched the next working day.

The delivery time depends on your location and the delivery service selected at checkout. However, all deliveries in the UK will generally be made within 3 days of dispatch. Deliveries to European countries will be made within 5-7 working days of dispatch.
