Tasting Notes

The nose is reminiscent of toffee apples with elegant, soft vanilla and caramel notes playing with orchard fruits and sweet pear drops. On the palate it's smooth with a creamy texture and a perfect balance of vanilla, dried fruit, citrus and a hint of spice. The finish is medium length with a delicate but lingering finish.

The perfect serve

Enjoy however you prefer a dram.

Meet the maker

Based in Fife, distilling at Lindores Abbey has been revived after 523 years. Records show distilling was taking place at the site in 1494 but, in reality, it was probably happening long before that. The spirit started flowing again in 2017 when the distillery was revived by Drew Mckenzie Smith. Along with his wife Helen, Drew had spent over two decades planning and campaigning to bring a distillery back to the grounds of Lindores Abbey. The first spirit released was an aqua vitae with the first single malt whisky due for release in July 2021.
