Kilchoman - Sanaig Islay Single Malt Whisky from Kilchoman Distillery is a vatting of Kilchoman spirit matured in both sherry and bourbon casks.

The whisky is named after an inlet on Islay's rugged Atlantic coast and the high proportion of Oloroso sherry influence adds a balance of dried fruits and spices to classic Kilchoman citrus sweetness and peat smoke character. Naturally coloured and non-chill filtered.

Tasting Notes

Sanaig has a sweet nose with soft cooked fruits, caramel and vanilla. The palate combines toffee, peat smoke and citrus with a lingering sweetness before a balanced finish of peat smoke, fruit and sweetness.

Meet the maker

Founded in 2005, Kilchoman Distillery was the first distillery to be built on Islay in over 124 years and it is Islay's only farm distillery producing Scotland's only Single Farm Single Malt. The distillery is owned and operated by the Wills Family - husband and wife Anthony and Kathy along with their three sons George, James and Peter. The family farm approximately 2,000 acres surrounding the ruined Kilchoman Church with the most fertile ground (250 acres of fields surrounding the distillery) used for growing barley. The famly are passionate about resurrecting the grass roots tradition of farm distilling where single malt is cultivated from barley to bottle in a single location.

Delivery Service

We use a combination of delivery services and the provider and service used will depend on your location, the size and weight of the products ordered, the value of the goods and the delivery service you select at checkout.

All deliveries in the UK will be dispatched using either Royal Mail or by a courier. Deliveries out with the UK will always be delivered using a courier.

We always recommend that you provide us with a delivery address where it is likely that someone will be available to receive and sign for the parcel. Where applicable, you will receive communication with a tracking number for your parcel

Delivery Times

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday and all orders received before 1pm are dispatched the same day. Order received after 1pm are dispatched the next working day.

The delivery time depends on your location and the delivery service selected at checkout. However, all deliveries in the UK will generally be made within 3 days of dispatch. Deliveries to European countries will be made within 5-7 working days of dispatch.
