The Wild Rose Gin from Tayport Distillery was inspired by a walk along the banks of the River Tay where wild rose grows in abundance.

A traditional London Dry style gin, the gin is distilled using a range of sustainably sourced botanicals including juniper, wild rose, lemon peel, bay leaves, coriander, angelica and almond.

The base of the gin is distilled from Scottish malted barley and the result is a juniper-led gin with unmistakable floral tones.

Tasting Notes

Vibrant and flavoursome, the Wild Rose Gin has floral and sweet aromas which develop into pine and citrus on the palate. The finish has piney juniper and black pepper.

The perfect serve

We think it's best to keep it simple with and serve as a really classic G&T over plenty of ice. Pairs perfectly with Walter Gregor's Original Tonic and a slice of lemon.

Meet the maker

Founded by Kecia McDougall, the story of Tayport Distillery began in the apple orchards of Ohio before continuing in the berry fields of Fife. Inspired by a combination of the tales of old Ohian moonshiners and today's micro-distillers, Kecia took the plunge to create a Scottish twist on a traditional European drink known as Eau de Vie. The 'grain to glass' spirits are made in small batches, with no added sugars - any sweetness comes naturally from the locally sourced fruit.
